I am presently in the market for an iPad mini to use with SkyDemon and an external GPS. Should I purchase the wifi only model or wifi + cellular model? I've read elsewhere that the wifi only model has a harder time interpreting the incoming data from external GPS devices and is prone to problems vs. the cellular model, is this true?

Possibly consider the use of an android device such as nexus 7.... £50 - £150 and if you don't like it you could sell it on....has built in gps that works well!
